Our client

Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by an IT Firm and one of the leading providers of open architecture Point Of Sale technology solutions and services for the retail, supermarket, hospitality and banking industries. To support its expansion, our client has mandated Adexen to recruit a Business Account Manager for its operations in Ghana. The position will be based in Accra.

Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for all facets of end-user account and relationship management by building sales, meeting and exceeding sales quotas and increasing the client’s brand awareness and market penetration and developing and coordinating sales activity to identified end-user customers within a defined territory. Collaborates with key customers including, End-User, Value Added Resellers, Original Equipment Manufacturers and other Business Partners.

Responsibilities

Builds Sales
  • Meets and exceed sales and product objectives in territory by effectively utilizing all resources available.
  • Collaborates with Territory Manager in development of sales plan.
  • Establishes a strong client presence within account base at decision maker and management level.
  • Develops contacts in target accounts through prospecting in designated territory.
  • Follows-up on all leads provided by the company.
  • Interacts with all appropriate internal and external customers to insure successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies with the customer.
  • Identifies and understands the customer’s needs and provides solutions using client products, programs and services.
  • Leverages client channel partners whenever possible and prevents channel conflict.
  • Demonstrates products to new and existing customers.
  • Keeps abreast of product lines and industry trends and informs client’s management on developments and trends that may impact customers’ purchases and other business activities in the near and distant future.
  • Participates in trade shows, sales meetings, training classes and other lead generation activities.
  • Resolves customer issues in a timely and thorough manner; escalates issues to manager as appropriate.
  • Implement sales plan for different market segments 
Effective Sales Administration
  • Develops and provides Product Management, Order Administration and Sales Operations with monthly product forecasts.
  • Adheres to all administrative policies and procedures.
  • Maintains account database of contacts and activities. Operates within budgetary constraints.
Relationship Management
  • Builds strong relationships with peers, other departments and managers to best meet company goals and objectives

Qualifications et experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Sales or Related Field
  • A Master’s degree is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the technology industry
  • Proven experience in direct or indirect (channel) customer sales to both national and international customers including new and existing business.
  • Multinational experience, experience in team management, and  leading teams.
  • Past exposure in IT/ technology industry, having worked in sales, marketing and product management and handling of corporate account will be an advantage
  • Retail channel experience is a must
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Computer Literate
  • Mature, high initiative & independent
  • Ability to build strong relationships with decision makers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
